SolutioPOS v1.1.1 Released – Weight‑Based Selling, Categories, Hold Sale & More

We're excited to announce SolutioPOS v1.1.1 – a feature‑rich update that brings weight‑based selling, categories & subcategories, hold sale functionality, live profit in sales history, and enhanced receipts. This release is designed to give you more flexibility in how you sell, organise, and manage your business. As always, it's a free update for all existing customers.

🧮 Weight‑Based Selling

For businesses that sell products by weight (e.g., groceries, deli, fruits, meat), SolutioPOS now supports weight‑based selling. You can mark any product as weight‑based, set a price per kilogram, and define stock in kilograms. When a cashier selects a weight product on the POS, a popup asks for the kg amount, and the total is auto‑calculated (kg × price/kg). The POS grid shows “/kg” and stock in kg, and receipts (both thermal and A4) display per‑kg price and kg quantity. A new “Kg sold” column appears in the Profit tab, and admins can globally enable/disable weight features in Settings.

📂 Categories & Subcategories

Organise your products more effectively with the new Categories & Subcategories system. A new “Categories” tab in the Admin Panel lets you create and delete categories and subcategories. When adding or editing a product, you choose the category and subcategory from dropdowns (no more free‑text entry). The POS grid now supports two‑level filtering – category tabs at the top, and selecting a category shows its subcategories as secondary tabs.

🛑 Hold Sale

Cashiers can now pause a transaction and hold the current cart – including customer, discount, coupon, and deposit – to process another sale. This is perfect for busy environments where a customer needs to step away or a cashier needs to handle a quick transaction. Only one sale can be held at a time, and the held sale appears as a banner in the cart area showing total and item count. Cashiers can resume the held sale (restoring all details) or delete it.

💰 Live Profit in Sales History

A new profit card now appears at the top of the Sales History tab. It updates automatically when you filter by date or cashier, using the same calculation (revenue allocation minus cost) for fully‑paid sales in the filtered list. This gives you instant, filter‑aware profit visibility.

🖨️ Receipt Enhancements

A4 receipts now show the selected customer name or restaurant table. Both thermal and A4 receipts now explicitly display “/kg” and kg quantities for weight items, making it clear for customers and staff.

🔄 How to Update

If you already have SolutioPOS installed, the auto‑updater will download v1.1.1 automatically the next time you start the application. You can also download the latest installer from your account dashboard.
