SolutioPOS v1.1.0 Released – Partial Payments, Returns, Loyalty Program & More

We are thrilled to announce SolutioPOS v1.1.0 – a major update that brings powerful new features to help you manage your business more flexibly. This release focuses on partial payments (deposits), one‑click returns with automatic restocking, a customer loyalty program, enhanced analytics, and several usability improvements. As always, this is a free update for all existing customers.

💰 Partial Payments (Deposits)

Now you can accept a deposit before completing a sale – perfect for lay‑by orders, custom orders, or split bills. The receipt shows the deposit deducted and the remaining balance. All partial payments are tracked in a dedicated Admin Panel tab; you can mark them as paid when the balance is settled. Important: dashboard profit numbers reflect only the money actually received – partial payments are excluded until fully paid.

🔄 Returns & Refunds with Automatic Restocking

Processing returns is now a one‑click operation. Select a past sale, choose which items and quantities to return, add a reason, and the stock is automatically increased – no manual inventory adjustments needed. All returns are recorded in a new Returns tab (enable in Settings). The sales history also shows returned items and refund amounts inline.

🎁 Customer Loyalty Program

Reward your regular customers. Set a purchase threshold (e.g., "after 5 purchases") and a discount (percentage or fixed amount). When a customer reaches the next multiple of the threshold, the discount is automatically applied at checkout – no extra clicks. Customer purchase counts are tracked and displayed in the customer list.

📊 Enhanced Dashboard & Reports

• Best‑selling products – view top 5 by quantity and by revenue.
• Sales by hour – identify your busiest times with a bar chart.
• Profit tab – now includes a search bar and the ability to sort by units sold (ascending / descending).
• Sales history – filter by date range and cashier; see partial payment and return information directly.

⚡ Usability & Performance Upgrades

• Manual refresh button – if the app ever freezes, click to reload all data instantly (no restart needed).
• Add Customer button on the POS screen – create a new customer on the fly without leaving the sale.
• Restaurant mode product grid – when Restaurant Mode is on, the product grid shows 4 columns with larger tiles, better for touch screens.
• Bulk import – now runs entirely in the background. Even with hundreds of products, the UI stays responsive, and a progress bar shows real‑time status.
• Product search – now correctly searches numeric barcodes (no more “.includes is not a function” errors).

🖨️ Receipt & Printing Improvements

Receipts now display deposit and remaining balance for partial payments. Invoice printing supports custom logos and margins.

🛠️ Fixes & Under‑the‑Hood Improvements

• Admin password – now stored globally, so you can log in to the Admin Panel regardless of which business is active.
• Profit values – always shown with exactly 2 decimal places (e.g., $49.00 instead of $49.00000000000001).
• Partial payment sync – marking a partial payment as “Paid” immediately updates the sale’s effective total and profit.
• Return sync – processing a return instantly recalculates profit and updates stock.
• Support button – added to the top bar, linking directly to our contact page.
• Dark mode – fully integrated and persists across sessions.

🔄 How to Update

If you already have SolutioPOS installed, the auto‑updater will download v1.1.0 automatically the next time you start the application. You can also download the latest installer from your account dashboard.
